Gli studenti russisti devono aver superato l'esame di Lingua russa I e possedere una conoscenza del russo sufficiente alla comprensione, pur con l'aiuto del docente, di citazioni dai testi originali degli autori trattati.
Il corso fornisce gli strumenti necessari per una buona conoscenza sulla letteratura russa del secondo Ottocento, con un breve profilo del movimento simbolista e dei suoi massimi rappresentanti. Un argomento specifico di approfondimento fornirà invece gli strumenti metodologici per affrontare autonomamente lo studio degli argomenti precedenti.
Al fine di razionalizzare l'approccio alla materia del corso, che è comune per gli studenti del II e III anno, il corso stesso è articolato in una PARTE GENERALE riguardante la storia della letteratura, la cui preparazione è lasciata allo studio individuale dello studente sulla base dei testi di riferimento indicati in bibliografia, e una PARTE DI APPROFONDIMENTO su un argomento specifico che verrà esposto dal docente nel corso delle lezioni frontali.

Il corso prevede principalmente un'attività didattica frontale articolata in lezioni durante le quali verranno esposti gli argomenti fondanti di un certo periodo letterario o di un certo autore. Al fine di dinamizzare l'attività e rendere gli studenti quanto più possibile partecipi, il docente li coinvolgerà ponendo domande per verificare l'effettiva comprensione degli argomenti o chiamandoli alla traduzione e commento delle citazioni dai testi trattati.
MODALITA' DI VERIFICA:
La modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento è costituita da una prova orale sulla base di 3-4 domande relative sia alla parte generale che al corso di approfondimento, nonché alle letture obbligatorie.
La prova mira a saggiare la capacità dello studente:
1. di orientarsi nel periodo storico-letterario in oggetto,
2. di aver assimilato le tematiche relative agli autori in programma,
3. di essere in grado di comprendere e commentare adeguatamente un testo in lingua originale fra quelli previsti dal programma,
4. essere in grado di argomentare logicamente la propria esposizione.
VALUTAZIONE:
Il voto, espresso in trentesimi e con soglia di sufficienza fissata a 18/30, è costituito dalla media dei voti relativi alla parte generale, al corso di approfondimentoe e alle letture obbligatorie.

Students of Russian must have passed the exam known as Russian language I, and must also have a sufficiently good knowledge of Russian to be able to follow, with the some help from the teacher, passages taken from the original texts by the authors dealt with during the course
The course will provide the learning tools needed in order to reach a good level of knowledge of Russian literature regarding the second half of the nineteenth century, with a short summary about the symbolist movement. Further in-depth studies of a specific topic will provide the methodologies required to undertake autonomously the study of the above-mentioned subjects.
In order to rationalize the approach to the course subject, which is the same for both 2nd and 3rd year students, the course is made up of a GENERAL PART regarding the history of literature, the preparation and study of which is left to the students by the aid of the course texts in bibliography, and a PART CONCERNING A FURTHER, MORE DETAILED STUDY of a specific topic which will be introduced by the teacher during classes.

The students of the third year (course "Russian Literature II A-B"), having already acquired in the second year sound competences on the eightheenth and ninetheenth century literature, must not repeat the already studied program, but they have to prepare the program concerning the history of the Russian literature of the Soviet age (see: Further informations).

The course will consist mainly of teaching activities carried out in class and divided into lessons during which the basic notions of a particular literary period or a particular author will be presented. In order to enliven lessons and encourage students to participate as much as possible, the teacher will involve them either by asking questions to check their actual comprehension of the topic or by asking them to translate and comment on passages from the texts presented.
WAY OF TESTING:
Testing of students’ learning is through an oral exam consisting in 3-4 questions both with regard to the "general part" and "further monographic studies", including basic reading texts, so as to verify their abilities.
They must:
1. be familiar with the historical and literary period in question,
2. have understood the thematic content of the works of the authors included in the syllabus,
3. be able to understand and comment on, in an appropriate manner, a text in the original language among those presented as part of the syllabus,
4. be able to discuss logically about the subject studied.
EVALUATION:
The final mark (18/30 is the pass level) consists in the mean of results of "general part" and "further monographic studies", including basic reading texts.
