Non è previsto nessun prerequisito tuttavia, per garantire che gli studenti possano raggiungere gli obiettivi formativi della LM nonostante la diversa formazione pregressa, si consiglia di partecipare ai “percorsi di allineamento” che riguardano gli insegnamenti relativi all’analisi e rappresentazione territoriale e strumenti pianificatori urbani.
L’insegnamento offre allo studente le conoscenze sulle teorie e i metodi del progetto territoriale, alla luce dello “spatial turn” che pone l’accento sul ruolo strategico ricoperto dalla dimensione spaziale dei fenomeni sociali nel mondo contemporaneo. Verranno prospettate le funzioni che i luoghi ricoprono nella società mondializzata e la necessità di comprendere la prospettiva integrata tra analisi areale e reticolarità spaziale, indotta dalla mobilità degli abitanti. L’obiettivo del modulo è di sviluppare le abilità teoriche e applicative dello studente per la progettazione del territorio tenendo conto delle sfide contemporanee riguardanti la tutela dell’ambiente e del paesaggio.
Il modulo mostra le teorie che affrontano l’analisi del territorio, in modo complementare, da un punto di vista areale e reticolare. Partendo dalla teoria della complessità, che analizza il processo di costruzione del territorio areale e le sue configurazioni, si passa a considerare la mondializzazione il cui esito territoriale è la reticolarità creata dal movimento degli abitanti e analizzata sull’insieme di reti, nodi e rizomi. Questi approcci analitici, affrontati nel segno dello spatial turn, permettono di approdare alla recente visione neo-localistica che, ponendo al centro dell’analisi territoriale l’azione dell’abitante, sia a livello globale che locale, ingloba le configurazioni immateriali del territorio, come quella di iper-luogo.
La didattica si svolgerà, per una parte pari a n. 20 ore, mediante lezioni frontali, eventualmente anche erogate a distanza, con un’attenzione particolare al confronto e al dialogo con gli studenti che potranno formulare proposte di approfondimento o dibattito. Esse sono supportate da strumenti visuali (power point) e digitali on line, al fine di facilitare l’apprendimento. Le restanti 10 ore dell’insegnamento sono svolte all’interno del project work, ossia l’attività interdisciplinare costruita attorno a progetti applicativi territoriali che prevedono la co-docenza e la partecipazione attiva degli studenti. Il project work, infatti, prospetta una didattica unitaria tra formazione teorica e ricerca applicata sul territorio.
La prova d’esame si svolge in forma orale, mediante un colloquio relativo ai due moduli che compongono l’area didattica “Progettazione territoriale e urbana”. Essa accerta l’acquisizione da parte dello studente delle nozioni impartite all’interno dei moduli. Nello specifico, l’esame verifica:
- la conoscenza teorica dei concetti geografici sviluppati durante l’insegnamento;
- la capacità critica dello studente di applicarli a casi specifici.
Inoltre, valuta il portfolio realizzato all’interno del project work, costituito dall’insieme di elaborati realizzati in modalità individuale e collettiva (mapping, infografiche, dossier, piani progettuali e video-clip) per misurare la progressiva maturazione dello studente nonché la capacità applicativa acquisita nel processo formativo.
Il voto relativo all’area didattica viene calcolato con la media aritmetica delle votazioni riportate nei due moduli, a cui si aggiunge la valutazione del portfolio che deve corrispondere a un terzo della valutazione complessiva.
Tale voto, espresso in trentesimi, è comunicato allo studente e registrato mediante il libretto elettronico.
Qualora l'insegnamento venisse impartito in modalità mista o a distanza potranno essere introdotte modifiche rispetto a quanto dichiarato nel syllabus per rendere il corso e gli esami fruibili anche secondo queste modalità
There is no prerequisite, however, to ensure that students can achieve the educational objectives of the LM despite the different previous training, it is advisable to participate in the “alignment paths” (“percorsi di allineamento”) that relate to the teachings of geography and urban planning.
Students acquire knowledge of the theories and methods of the territorial project, in the light of the spatial turn, that emphasizes the strategic role played by the spatial dimension of social phenomena in the contemporary world. The functions of the places in the globalized society and the need of an integrated perspective between areal analysis and spatial reticularity induced by the mobility of the inhabitants will be presented. The objective is to develop the theoretical and applicative skills of the student to intervene on the territory, the environment and the landscape.
The module shows the theories that deal in a complementary way with the analysis of the territory from an area and / or network point of view. Starting from the theory of complexity, which shows the process of construction of the territory and its configurations, we proceed to consider the theory of globalization in which the reticularity created by the movement of the inhabitants is analysed on the set of networks, nodes and rhizomes. These analytical approaches, studied in the sign of the spatial turn, allow us to reach the recent neo-localist vision that, by placing the inhabitant’s action – both global and local – at the centre of territorial analysis, involves the immaterial configurations of the territory, like that of the hyper-place.
The course is held through lectures, maybe through dihital devices, for a total of n. 20 hours, but with a specific attention to the interaction and the dialogue of students, who can formulate proposals for further studies or debates. This method is supported by visual tools (power point presentations) and multimedia connections, in order to facilitate learning.
Furthermore, the remaining ten hours of teaching are carried out within the project work – that is, an interdisciplinary activity built around territorial application projects involving the active participation of students – which pursues a unitary teaching between theoretical training and applied research in the area.
The exam is oral and concerns two interviews on the two parts of the didactic area. It verifies that students acquire concepts presented at lesson. In particular:
‒ the theoretical knowledge of the geographical concepts developed during lessons;
‒ the critical ability to apply to specific case studies.
In addition, the portfolio created within the project work is evaluated. This consists in a set of documents (such as mapping, infographics, dossiers, project plans and video-clips) produced in individual and collective way to measure the gradual maturation of the student as well as the application capacity acquired in the training process.
The exam evaluation is determined by the average of the two interviews, to which is added the evaluation of the portfolio, this must correspond to one third of the overall assessment. The evaluation will be expressed on thirty points, communicated to students and registered in their online career book.
In the case the teaching is taught in mixed mode or remotely, changes can be made compared to what is stated in the syllabus to make the course and exams usable also in these ways.
