Level C1 competence in Spanish Language.
At the end of the course (corso ufficiale), at a metalinguistic and disciplinary level, students will be able to recognise and comment on colloquial language in oral and written texts, with a focus on literary texts.
The course will deal with the study of colloquial language in oral and audiovisual texts, proposing an in-depth work on literary discourse.
Lectures with PowerPoint slides and multimedia materials. Students will be asked to actively participate in these activities, with exercises and written tasks. Guest lecturers may contribute to focus on specific topics. Students are required to have the texts indicated in the bibliography AT THE BEGINNING OF THE COURSE and to participate actively in the lessons.
The assessment includes a test on language skills and a written exam on the syllabus of the ‘corso ufficiale’. The assessment of the corso ufficiale consists of a written exam in Spanish on the syllabus (4 open questions) (60 minutes). At least 10 days before the exam, students will also deliver a practical work based on the novel "Una palabra tuya", according to the instructions listed among the materials of the course on e-learning facilities. Knowledge of the academic contents and communicative competence in Spanish (coherence, cohesion, clarity, accuracy, effective style and propriety of language) will be assessed.
The overall grade is the result of the test on language skills and of the examination on the syllabus of the corso ufficiale. All parts must be passed successfully. Prior to the corso ufficiale exam, students will have to pass a test on Spanish language; see the specific web page of “Centro Competenza Lingue”, in the Spanish language section. Examples of such tests may be found at the following addresses:
http://diplomas.cervantes.es/informacion/niveles/nivel_c1.html http://diplomas.cervantes.es/informacion-general/nivel-c2.htm
The grade obtained in the test on language skills is valid for 18 months, after which the language test must be repeated, before taking the examination on the module. It is not possible to refuse the mark obtained in the language test, as it is a partial grade.
The test on language skills may be taken after the end of all the lessons of the corso ufficiale, on the first examination date available.
The course syllabus is the same for students who attend classes and for those who do not attend. All the texts published on the relevant e-learning platform must be studied. Should the course be taught as a blended or online activity, some adjustments (with respect to what stated in the syllabus) may be necessary – and will be indicated on the course page – in order to make the course and the exams more easily accessible.
The DELE Diploma de Español nivel C2 international certificate will exempt students from the skill assessments tests, except for the translation test.
For a 10 CFU exam, is required to take both modules C and D in the same exam session.; it is not possible to refuse the mark of a single module.
