Students of second year must have passed the oral exam of the 1st-year LM I (57208 A +B).
At the end of the course, the students will have improved their competences at a C1/C2 level for French language LM2 (European Framework of Reference). Moreover, the students will have acquired critical skills about the content of the course.
Idioms and Proverbs.
The course aims to analyze linguistic, cultural and translational aspects of idioms and proverbs.
Lectures. Particular attention is paid to the discussion and direct dialogue with the students. During the year, students may be required individual or group works that contribute to the final evaluation. Students can also access the training activities organized for their level of competency, as well as tutoring activities planned during the year (see Language Competence Centre site).
The exam on the module consists of an oral test in French language. Students are required to answer questions concerning the module subject extensively covered on the books’ list provided. Group or individual works, required during the year, will be taken into account as part of the final evaluation. In order to take the oral test, students must have passed written tests concerning linguistic skills. The written tests are organized as follows:

Erasmus students are required to contact the professor at the beginning of the module. If the course is taught in mixed mode or remotely, they can be introduced changes compared to what is stated in the syllabus to make the course and exams usable also in these ways.
