Aver sostenuto gli esami del II anno di Lingua Tedesca e di Letteratura tedesca.
Il corso ha come obiettivo rendere possibile allo studente di analizzare la qualità poetica e narrativa di varie tipologie di “forma breve” dell’epoca romantica tedesca (primo ventennio dell’800) considerando in questo modulo in modo specifico i testi di Johann Peter Hebel e di Heinrich von Kleist. Il primo modulo del corso è correlato a quello successivo, in cui si insisterà sulla “forma breve” nel periodo del tardo-Illuminismo (Friedrich Schlegel e Georg Christoph Lichtenberg). Lo studente è chiamato dunque a esporre il progetto poetico generale dei due autori menzionati, a inquadrare la storia della cultura letteraria tedesca del tempo in cui vengono redatti e pubblicati i testi e infine a mostrare analiticamente le peculiarità della “forma breve” sull’esempio di un testo indicato durante la verifica. Naturalmente è fondamentale che lo studente sappia mostrare di disporre del necessario apparato interpretativo e critico per definire peculiarità poetiche e ideologiche dei testi, avvalendosi in modo puntuale della bibliografia in programma.
Il corso tratterà innanzitutto l'opera di Johann Peter Hebel (1760-1826), analizzando il progetto poetico-didattico inerente alla sua raccolta di "Kalendergeschichten" (1811). In particolare 7 di queste storie verranno analizzate durante il corso, coinvolgendo nella didattica anche una studiosa Erasmus di Bielefeld in ottobre. In un secondo momento, l'opera di Heinrich von Kleist (1777-1811) sarà analizzata dapprima in un'ottica d'insieme, per poi soffermarsi su alcuni aneddoti e racconti legati al suo "Über das Marionettentheater" (1810). I testi saranno letti nella loro lingua originale e commentati in italiano. Il corso è direttamente collegato al secondo modulo, dove procedure simili verranno applicate a due autori del Tardo Illuminismo, ovvero Friedrich Schlegel e Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, concentrandosi sul frammento e l'aforisma come forme specifiche della loro prosa.
La didattica si svolgerà tramite lezioni frontali, ma con un'attenzione particolare al confronto e al dialogo diretto con gli studenti, che potranno, durante le lezioni, formulare proposte di approfondimento o di dibattito. Parte dei testi verrà letta e commentata in italiano sulla base del testo in lingua originale e relativa traduzione.
NB. In caso di disposizioni dell’autorità
competenti in materia di contenimento e gestione dell’emergenza epidemiologica, l'insegnamento
potrebbe subire modifiche rispetto a quanto dichiarato nel syllabus per rendere il corso e gli esami in
linea con quanto disposto.
L’esame sarà sostenuto dallo studente in forma orale e in lingua italiana, con riferimento ad eventuali testi a fronte in lingua tedesca. La valutazione è espressa in trentesimi. Sono previste tre domande, di cui:
1) inquadramento storico-critico sull’attività letteraria dell’autore indicato e descrizione della poetica della “forma breve” che lo concerne;
2) analisi di un testo da un punto di vista stilistico-formale, contenutistico e storico-critico;
3) istituzione di un collegamento con altri tipi di forma breve trattati nel modulo.

Having passed the second year exams of German Language and German Literature.
The course aims to make it possible for the student to analyze the poetic and narrative quality of various types of "short form" of the German Romantic era (first twenty years of the 19th century) by considering in this module specifically the texts of Johann Peter Hebel and by Heinrich von Kleist. The first module of the course is related to the next one, in which we will insist on the "short form" in the late-Enlightenment period (Friedrich Schlegel and Georg Christoph Lichtenberg). The student is therefore called to expose the general poetic project of the two mentioned authors, to frame the history of the German literary culture of the time in which the texts are written and published and finally to analytically show the peculiarities of the "short form" on the example of a text indicated during verification. Of course, it is essential that the student is able to show that he has the necessary interpretative and critical apparatus to define the poetic and ideological peculiarities of the texts, making timely use of the bibliography in the program.
The course will first of all outline the work of Johann Peter Hebel (1760-1826), analyzing the poetic-didactic project inherent to his collection of "Kalendergeschichten" (1811). Especially 7 of these stories will be analysed during the course, also involving an Erasmus visiting scholar from Bielefeld in October. As a second step, the work of Heinrich von Kleist (1777-1811) will be analysed at first from an overall viewpoint, then focusing on some anecdotes and tales linked to his "Über das Marionettentheater" (1810). Texts will be read in their original language and commented in Italian. The course is directly related to the second module, where similar procedures will be applied to two authors of the Late-Enlightenment, i.e. Friedrich Schlegel and Georg Christoph Lichtenberg, focusing on fragment and aphorism as specific forms of their prose.
Teaching will take place through lectures, but with particular attention to comparison and direct dialogue with the students, who will be able, during the lessons, to formulate proposals for in-depth study or debate. Part of the texts will be read and commented in Italian on the basis of the text in the original language and its translation.
NB. In case of authority provisions
competent in the containment and management of epidemiological emergencies, teaching
could undergo changes compared to what is stated in the syllabus to make the course and exams in
in line with the provisions.
The exam will be taken by the student orally and in Italian, with reference to the original text in German. The evaluation is scored out of thirty. The three questions will concern
1) the historical-critical background of the literary activity of the author posited and the description of the poetics of “short form” concerning him.
2) text analysis with special reference to style, form, content and historical-critical context.
3) the setting up of links to other types of short form discussed in the course
