Acquisire la capacità di descrivere le principali strategie e le fasi della ricerca empirica in educazione.
Acquisire le competenze:
- per progettare una semplice ricerca empirica e costruire uno strumento per la rilevazione dei dati e delle informazioni (questionario, griglia di intervista o di osservazione)
- per applicare tecniche valutative sia qualitative che quantitative nell’ambito delle attività motorie educative
- per condurre un'intervista e una sessione di osservazione e somministrare un test motorio in ambito educativo.
Il corso si articola in due parti.
Nella prima vengono presentati le principali questioni e metodi della ricerca educativa, il disegno della ricerca, la rilevazione e la codifica dei dati, le ragioni e gli scopi della valutazione in ambito motorio-educativo e le metodologie di tipo qualitativo e quantitativo.
Nella seconda parte vengono presentati, e sperimentati, vari strumenti teorici, test pratici e tecniche da applicare in particolare in età evolutiva e nella terza età.
Nella prima parte del corso, l’attività didattica sarà costituita da lezioni frontali che includono domande appositamente strutturate per incoraggiare processi riflessivi.
Nella seconda parte l’attività didattica viene condotta in forma laboratoriale:
- in aula, analizzando specifici da valutare, somministrando strumenti, sperimentando alcuni test e questionari autosomministrati e scegliendo i più opportuni metodi (compiti singoli, assegnazione di compiti a gruppi e feedback da parte del docente, discussioni guidate);
- ove possibile in palestra, sperimentando alcuni strumenti e tecniche valutative.
L’esame è costituito da una prova orale basata sulle due parti del programma; un eventuale caso-studio teorico-pratico da discutere verrà assegnato dal docente e inviato, previa richiesta degli esaminandi, una settimana prima dell’esame finale.
Per gli studenti frequentanti, al termine della seconda parte del programma, è prevista una prova tesa a verificare le competenze attraverso un elaborato scritto centrato sui casi e attraverso la somministrazione pratica di strumenti e tecniche in aula e in palestra.
La valutazione della prova in itinere costituisce parte rilevante della valutazione complessiva che verrà perfezionata attraverso il colloquio orale in sede di esame finale.
Qualora l'insegnamento venisse impartito in modalità mista o a distanza potranno essere introdotte modifiche rispetto a quanto dichiarato nel syllabus per rendere il corso e gli esami fruibili anche secondo queste modalità.
Gli studenti lavoratori non frequentanti avranno a disposizione un percorso in FAD (Formazione A Distanza) che verrà realizzato nello stesso periodo delle lezioni; le modalità di partecipazione al percorso FAD verranno presentate durante la prima lezione del corso oppure contattando direttamente il docente. Per gli studenti Erasmus è prevista la possibilità di concordare il programma d’esame previo colloquio.
To be able to explain the main research strategies and the phases of the empirical research in education.
To acquire the competences:
- to plan a simple research and to build a data and information collection tool (questionnaire, interview, or observation grids);
- to apply assessment tools and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, at the educational physical activity;
- to administer an interview and to carry out an observation session.
The course is organized in two parts.
The first presents the main issues and methods of the educational research, the research design, data collection and coding, the reasons and aims of the evaluation in educational physical activity and the qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
In the second part, several tools and techniques, aimed at the children and elderly are presented, and tested.
In the first part, the teaching activity is proposed through lectures including specifically formulated requests to enhance thoughtful processes.
The second part is structured as a workshop:
- in the classroom, by analyzing cases to be evaluated in different situations, administering tools, testing self-administered questionnaires and choosing the more appropriate methods (individual and group assignments and teacher’s feedback, guided discussions);
- wherever in the gym, testing evaluation tools and techniques.
The final exam is based on an oral test based on the two parts of the program; a potential theoretical-practical case study is delivered by the teacher one week before the exam upon students’ request.
For students attending the classes, a test is organized at the end of the second part of the program.
The test aims to assess the competences, through a written test focused on the cases and through the administration of tools and techniques in the classroom and in the gym.
The evaluation of the ongoing test represents a significant part of the final evaluation that is completed through an oral test during the final exam.
Changes in methods and tools could be introduced in the Syllabus in case of blended or remote teaching.
For the student workers not attending the course, a Distance Learning (FAD) system will be activated. The procedure to take part in the FAD system will be presented in the first lesson of the course or upon contact with the teacher. For Erasmus students it is possible to agree the exam program upon a meeting with the teacher.
