At the beginning of the course, the student has B2 (Vantage) level in English.
At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the intercultural models of communication and apply them to the analysis of promotional digital and conventional texts.
The course explores cross-cultural communication in a few specialist fields, giving special attention to texts used for tourism purposes, examined from an intercultural perspective. The importance of the use of English as lingua franca is also taken into consideration as well as its influence on the linguistic and textual realisations at an international level. The course contents will be the same for everyone without any difference between attending and non-attending students

In the case of online lectures due to pandemic restrictions, the syllabus may vary and be adapted to e-learning modality.
The final written exam consists of a semi-structured test made up of 25-30 questions on the topics discussed during the course.
In the event of provisions of the competent authority regarding the containment and management of epidemiological emergencies, the teaching may be modified from what is stated in the syllabus in order to bring the course and examinations into line with the provisions.
In the case of online teaching, the final exam may change slightly to be adapted to the e-learning modality.
