La conoscenza di nozioni di base di linguistica.
Al termine del corso lo studente possiede la capacità di cogliere il significato di un atto o di un evento linguistico nel contesto comunicativo e ne sa interpretare le strategie discorsive. Sa analizzare e produrre un testo scritto secondo parametri di leggibilità e comprensibilità in riferimento ad un determinato destinatario, con particolare riferimento alla comunicazione istituzionale.
Il corso pone al centro dell’analisi la relazione tra comunicazione, lingua e contesto; più precisamente la relazione tra parlanti, interazioni e scelte linguistiche sia nei contesti quotidiani che in quelli istituzionalizzati. Temi principali:
• Introduzione alla pragmatica.
• La comunicazione e le sue componenti
• Funzioni del linguaggio e modelli comunicativi a confronto
• Da Austin a Grice: atti linguistici, cooperazione e massime della conversazione.
• Il testo tra parlante e destinatario:
1) Inferenze e presupposizione,
2) La struttura informativa,
3) Anafora, deissi, performativi,
4) Segnali funzionali
5) Cortesia
6) Leggibilità e comprensione di un testo (burocratico)
• Esercitazioni: Come analizzare e produrre testi comprensibili, utilizzando il software Corrige, con focus sulla comunicazione scritta delle istituzioni.
L’attività didattica consisterà in lezioni frontali (30 ore), effettuate con l’ausilio di diapositive powerpoint che verranno caricate sul sito e-learning del corso. Le esercitazioni (9 ore) prevedono l’utilizzo di un software specializzato (Corrige).
Per superare l’esame dell’intero corso integrato di Linguistica pragmatica e dell’interazione è necessario superare le prove d’esame di entrambi i moduli (Linguistica pragmatica e Pragmatica dell’interazione) nello stesso appello d’esame. Tuttavia lo studente può scegliere di sostenere l’esame parziale del mod.1 in due date che saranno comunicate dalla docente, comprese nei periodi di esami (gennaio-febbraio, marzo). Il voto dell’esame parziale è valido fino a gennaio-febbraio 2023.
La prova d’esame relativa al modulo 1 si svolge in forma orale e la valutazione viene espressa in trentesimi. Tale prova prevede 4 domande sui temi proposti nel corso e nel seminario e l’analisi di situazioni ed eventi comunicativi, allo scopo di valutare le conoscenze, la proprietà lessicale e le capacità critiche dello studente.
Il voto relativo all''esame dell’intero corso integrato viene calcolato come media delle votazioni riportate nei due moduli.
1) Chi non avesse conoscenze di base di Linguistica è tenuto a studiare un manuale introduttivo alla linguistica.
2) Il programma di studio è lo stesso anche per STUDENTI NON FREQUENTANTI.
3) TUTTI GLI STUDENTI sono tenuti a consultare periodicamente l'area e-learning del corso e a scaricare i materiali indicati.
4) Qualora l'insegnamento venisse impartito in modalità mista o a distanza, potranno essere introdotte modifiche rispetto alle presenti indicazioni per adeguare il corso, le esercitazioni e gli esami anche a queste modalità. Le informazioni relative saranno fornite sull’area e-learning del corso.
Knowledge of basic notions in Linguistics.
At the end of the course the student has the ability to grasp the meaning of an act or a linguistic event in the communicative context and knows how to interpret the discourse strategies. S/he can analyze and produce a written text according to readability and comprehensibility parameters with reference to a specific recipient, with particular orientation to institutional communication.
The course focuses on the relationship between communication, language and context; more precisely the relationship between speakers, interactions and linguistic choices both in everyday contexts and in institutionalized ones. Main themes:
• Introduction to pragmatics.
• Communication and its components
• Comparison of language functions and communication models
• From Austin to Grice: linguistic acts, cooperation and maxims of conversation
• The text between speaker and addressee:
1) Inferences and presupposition,
2) The information structure,
3) Anaphora, deixis, performatives,
4) Functional markers,
5) Politeness,
6) Readability and comprehension of a (bureaucratic) text
• Exercises: How to analyze and produce comprehensible texts using the Corrige software, with focus on the written communication of the institutions.
Teaching activities will consist in lectures (30 hours), conducted with the aid of PowerPoint slides that will be uploaded to the e-learning course website. During the training hours (9 hours), specialized websites will be used (Corrige).
To pass the exam of the entire integrated course of Pragmatic and interactional Linguistics it is necessary to pass the exam tests of both modules (Pragmatic Linguistics and Interactional Pragmatics) in the same exam session. In addition, the student can choose to take the partial exam of mod.1 on two dates that will be communicated by the teacher, included in the exam periods (January-February, March). The vote of the partial exam is valid until January-February 2023.
The MOD1 exam takes place in oral form and evaluation is expressed in 30/30. This test includes 4 questions on the exposed and commented themes as well as analysis of communicative situations, in order to verify the student's knowledge, lexical property and critical thinking skills.
The exam vote for the entire integrated course is calculated as the average of grades obtained in the two modules.
1) Students without basic knowledge in Linguistics are requested to study an introductory textbook on linguistics, or equivalent in other languages.
2) NON-ATTENDING STUDENTS have the same program as attending students.
3) ALL STUDENTS must regularly consult the e-learning site and download the materials indicated.
4) If the course will be taught in a blended or in a distance learning form, these guidelines may undergo a few changes in order to adapt the course, the exercises and the assessment to these forms. Students are invited to consult the e-learning area of the course for details on all these adjustments.
