* Attending students:
Attending students will be evaluated on the following components: Individual class participation (max. 20 points) – This course is organized as a seminar, thus your ability to participate actively is critical for creating a good learning environment. Team assignments (max. 80 points) – Each team will be asked to perform a series of in-class/out-of-the-class activities (discussions, exercises, etc.) that address issues related to the course content.
* Non attending students:
Non attending students will be evaluated on a final exam. In particular, the exam is: written, at the end of the course (January/February, June, July, September), in digital format (duration: 60 minutes), consisting of three open questions (to understand if the student has acquired the ability to connect the fundamental concepts and / or to apply the concepts to specific practical contexts). Each open question is worth a maximum of 11 points.
The answer to open questions will be assessed according to the following criteria: relevance to the question; comprehensiveness in relation to the question; inclusion of appropriate links; conciseness (without redundancy or repetition); command of language; clarity of presentation. The final grade is given by the sum of the scores obtained in the open questions. The exam will be scheduled in one or more shifts at the computer lab. The exam will be based on the contents of the book chapters/papers you can find in the reading list.
