A2 level of competence in English.
B1 (Threshold) level of competence in English, and a sound knowledge of audiovisual translation studies.
The course aims to explore audiovisual translation, both as a means of intercultural exchange and as a lens through which linguistic and cultural representations are negotiated and molded. After introducing theories inherent to the practice of translation in the audiovisual field, the course will focus on specific cultural aspects present in a variety of media, including films, television and video games.
Lectures, applied language activities, debates on the arguments presented in class.
Computer test: grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening comprehension.
Oral test: discussion based on the bibliography provided and the dispensa available on the e-Learning course.

The written exam is valid for 18 months.
