Antonio Ferramosca is an Associate Professor at the Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering, University of Bergamo.
He received the Bachelor's Degree (Laurea Triennale) in Computer Science Engineering, and the Master's Degree (Laurea Specialistica) in Automation both from the University of Pavia (Italy), respectively in 2004 and in 2006; and a Ph.D. degree in Engineering, with full marks and honors (summa cum laude), from the University of Seville (Spain) in 2011.
He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), (from 2012 to 2013), and Research Associate at the same institution (from 2013 to 2020). As a guest researcher, he visited the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA (from August 2009 to February 2010), the Department of Process Control of the Institute of Technological Development for the Chemical Industry (INTEC, CONICET), Santa Fe, Argentina (from September 2010 to March 2011), and the Department of Systems Engineering and Automation, of the University of Seville, Spain (from March 2015 to July 2015).
He serves as the University of Bergamo delegate for BergamoScienza.
He is the author and co-author of over 90 publications including book chapters, journal papers, and conference papers. His research interests include Model Predictive Control, Economic MPC, control of biological systems, particularly Artificial Pancreas, stability, and robust control.
