Filippo Menga is an Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Bergamo. Prior to joining the University of Bergamo in 2021, he was Lecturer (2017- 2019) and then Associate Professor (2019-2021) of Human Geography at the University of Reading in Great Britain, where he also led the Human Geography Research Cluster (2019-2020), and is currently a Visiting Research Fellow. Before this, he was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at the Department of Geography of the University of Manchester.
His works have been published in a wide range of leading academic journals, including Area, Political Geography, Environment and Planning C, Environment and Planning E, Geoforum, Nationalities Papers, Water Alternatives, the Journal of Political Ecology, Geographical Review and Development and Change. He is the author of Power and Water in Central Asia (Routledge), and co-editor (with Erik Swyngedouw), of Water, Technology and the Nation-State (Earthscan).
Since 2017 he is Associate Editor of Political Geography.

Filippo Menga è Professore Associato di Geografia all’Università di Bergamo. Prima di rientrare in Italia nel 2021 ha lavorato, tra le altre, all’Università di Reading (dove è attualmente Visiting Research Fellow) e all’Università di Manchester in Gran Bretagna.
