Luigi Moretti is Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Bergamo. Previously, he was at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. He spent his post-doctoral years at the Universities of Padua and Bologna. He obtained a PhD in ‘Economics, Markets, Institutions’ from IMT Lucca and a Laurea (cum laude) in ‘Political Science’ from the University of Florence.
His research interests focus on topics at the intersections between economics of institutions, public economics, and political economy. His papers have been published in international journals, such as Journal of Monetary Economics, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Journal of Law Economics and Organization, Scandinavian Journal of Economics, European Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Peace Research, among others.
