Evelina Scaglia, Ph.D., is Associate Professor in History of Education at the Department of Human and Social Sciences, University of Bergamo (Italy). She achieved the National Scientific Qualification as full professor. She teaches History of School Education and History of Early Childhood Education. She belongs to the faculty of the Ph.D. Program in Human Sciences and Welfare Innovation, University of Bergamo.
Her main research topics deal with the History of the Italian Christian Education in the XX century, the History of Early Childhood Education, the History of primary teacher education.
She published 7 monographs and 3 edited books.
She was awarded the CIRSE Scientific Award in 2014 and the SIPED Scientific Award in 2018 and 2023.
She was involved as researcher in 3 PRIN (2007, 2008, 2017) and she cooperated in an Erasmus + Programme - Key Action 1 with the Bavarian Institute of Early Childhood Research (IFP), Munich, Germany.
She belongs to the Editorial Board of 3 scientific reviews (level A).
She is member of the research group "prof. Vittorino Chizzolini" at the Fondazione "Giuseppe Tovini" in Brescia (Italy).
She is individual member of the scientific associations ISCHE, SIPED, CIRSE, SIPSE.
